Head of the Shin Bet Yuval Diskin said Tuesday afternoon that since disengagement there had been a substantial increase in the amount of weapons and explosives being smuggled into the Gaza Strip.

Speaking at the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee, he said that thousands of rifles were smuggled every month into Gaza - four times the amount smuggled before disengagement.

Diskin added that tens of RPGs and two tons of explosives were also smuggled into the Strip every month, Israel Radio reported.

Surprise, surprise? Not hardly. Little people like us were warning of such a clearly predictable situation. So why did the Israeli government enable it? What are they up to? They can't be that stupid, can they? Could it be to further destabilize the region so EU "peacekeepers" - Roman wolves in sheep's clothing - can offer their final solution? Who's bribing who? Sharon's on his death bed and Shimon Peres is laying low. Beware Pax Romana!
