DECLARATION OF WAR!

“Do not think that I came to bring peace on earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword” (Mat. 10:34). That bold statement of Jesus the Christ knocks down all the traditional images of “God with us.”

Jesus declared WAR—not peace—on Earth! Not only had He seen “Satan fall like lightning from the sky” (when the devil was defeated and thrown out of Heaven), but now the preexistent Word had taken on flesh and blood to beat Satan on his own turf—Earth. Christ came to finish what He had started: the destruction of an evil empire (Heb. 2:14).

We’re warned of an end-time configuration of European states that will wreak such havoc—in the name of religion—that unless there’s SUPERNATURAL INTERVENTION, nobody will survive.

That persecuting power will attempt to stamp out every last vestige of opposition. It will astound the whole world by its rapid rise to power and appearance of being invincible. It’s exposed as Satan’s last stand against God (through an unsuspecting Europe). He’s frustrated and furious, and in his hell-bent madness plans on taking down as many as possible with him.

This spiritual conflict of interests is destined to be played out on an intercontinental scale. It has the frightening potential to divide and destroy beyond belief! Our civilization is about to crash. It’s coming apart at the seams.

The ominous structure rising in Europe to replace our present “leader of the free world” is doomed from the start. The Lord of history is not building such a house. He will not occupy it, but His archrival will possess it. It’s a condemned building and it deserves to fall.

Meanwhile, the GOOD NEWS of God’s Kingdom of Immortals will continue to shine, even as Earth plunges into a new Dark Age just prior to its establishment.

AUTHOR’S NOTE

Why this book? How did I decide to write it? Actually, once understood, I didn’t. Shortly after my baptism and conversion, June 9, 1979, I had expected to write another book: America Warned!

Since there are already plenty of books out there, I didn’t want to write just another one. I only wanted to write a book if God was going to be its true author so I asked my minister how to insure God’s inspiration. After questioning me and considering the responses, my minister felt I could rest confident of God’s blessing.

Encouraged by this support, I thanked God and asked (as usual) that His Spirit be mightily upon me as “an inspired instrument of righteousness” in His holy hands—that the words in the book emanate from Him and not me.

Immediately after that prayer, while still on my knees, I felt directed to open up the Bible. I did and proceeded to read a scripture my eyes became fastened upon: “…behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.” (Prov. 1:23). I turned again, and continued to read: “The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it” (Ps. 68:11). Whether by chance or design (GOD knows), this confirmed my minister’s counsel. It even strengthened it with a proclamation and a promise! God’s GREAT INSPIRATION would result in a GREAT PUBLICATION.

With that encouraging experience came renewed determination and enthusiasm to continue writing. I felt compelled to finish what I had begun.

America Warned! was basically a book comparing ancient Israel with the American and British people today. The startling parallels were to serve as a warning, in the sense others have shown frightening similarities between Rome and Western civilization. As thunder warns of the gathering storm, giving everybody a chance to seek shelter, so this book is GOD’S FINAL WARNING (Rev. 10:3) before the German blitzkrieg begins!

Unexpectedly, during the course of that research, a brand new picture began to appear. Whole new vistas of scriptures and understanding were opened up before me. Exciting insight was imparted to my mind. I didn’t search for those scriptures—but once exposed, I embraced their profound yet simple truths. This discovery is laid bare in the Book for all eyes to see, once pointed out, if we’ll
only allow God to remove spiritual blindness and religious prejudice (Acts 8:26-35).

Suddenly this personal Bible study became ALIVE! It was imbued with life and testified that GOD remains the same. God has not deviated from His Master Plan or changed the perfect way in which He works. Whenever Israel went astray, God would send dire messages of national disaster and dispersion (i.e. The United States and Britain in Prophecy by Herbert W. Armstrong). After the fact, and even before their fulfillment, God would send a message of hope and comfort: national restoration upon repentance. I strongly felt that this was to be a “companion volume” to Mr. Armstrong’s book. Both focus in on the pivotal prophecy of Leviticus 26: one to warn and the other to warn and comfort.

They say, “Hindsight is better than foresight.” That’s true (Isa. 41:22). This deeper understanding of divine dealings with Israel in the past revealed—was the necessary KEY to unlock—the mystery of the “Two Witnesses’” commission (Rev. 11). It answered the question of how God will deal with Israel and Judah in our immediate future.

It made such sense. This truth became so plain, this new awareness so down-to-earth (Ecc. 8:1), it was now easy to understand. TRUTH STOOD REVEALED. God became all the more real—the Bible relevant—and found faithful to His promises.

Beyond Babylon-—the little book with a big impact—-is destined to become a national debate and an international controversy (Rev. 10:10) .

May the GOD of our fathers—who has chosen us for a
special purpose and a unique task—bless you as you read this book, that you’ll be encouraged to fulfill your part in our GREAT future.

In the love of God and Israel,

David Ben-Ariel
