Death penalty for Ehud Olmert?

Israelis are afflicted with treacherous leaders like Americans suffer from, and indicted Ehud Olmert proves a politician will say anything to get elected since he used to speak against the division of Jerusalem. I met him when he was mayor of Jerusalem. Now dangerous UNJews like Olmert rewards terrorism and shamefully calls for Jerusalem's dismemberment, unlike strong Jewish leaders like Meir Kahane, former Knesset member and rabbi murdered by another Arab terrorist, who preached peace through strength, called upon Israel to expel sworn enemies and secure Jewish holy sites presently under Nazi Muslim occupation.

We can expect the bloody Vatican and the pagan pope's visit to the Holy Land of Israel in May to throw fuel on the fires undermining Israeli sovereignty over Jerusalem, invoking the accursed UN Resolution 181 to further the German-Jesuit agenda against the Jews and Israel.

Meanwhile, Ehud Olmert should be indicted for treason according to Israeli law:

Section B: Treason
97 (a). A person who, with intent to violate the sovereignty of the state, commits an act that has the potential to violate the state's sovereignty is liable to life imprisonment or the death penalty.
97 (b). A person who, with intent that any area be withdrawn from the sovereignty of the state or placed under the sovereignty of a foreign state, commits an act that has the potential to bring this about is liable to life imprisonment or the death penalty...
100. A person who commits an act revealing any one of the intentions listed in sections 97, 98 or 99 is liable to ten years imprisonment.

Who Really Cares About Our Soldiers?

My article, Infamy, has been widely circulated. The response has been overwhelmingly supportive. But what I would like to do is speak not to those who were "shocked and disgusted" by my admission that I was ashamed to be an Israeli after the release of Sami Kuntar, the baby-killer Hezbollah is so proud of who says he can't wait to kill again- but to those who disagree for reasons I can respect. In an article entitled: "Some Mistakes are Worth Making," Daniel Gordis quotes me without using my name and says that -unlike me- he feels proud of what Israel did. He says that he can now face his sons, one of whom is about to be drafted, with the firm belief that while the country he lives in demands much of its soldiers, it is also a country that "owes [them] everything in return and getting them home..is part of that."

I also have a son who is in the army. And as far as I see it, a soldier is sent to the front to defend the citizens of his homeland. All the risks, the injuries, the loss of life that come to soldiers and their families, are based on the premise that the citizens of that country are worth defending, and that those who rise up to murder them must be stopped and punished, or at least put somewhere they can do no harm. What I think Israel owes its soldiers and their families is the vow that their sacrifices of life and limb will not have been in vain. By returning the bodies of soldiers who died to protect Israel's people at the cost of turning loose a murderer who has declared he can't wait for his next opportunity to kill, the State of Israel is spitting in the face of that sacrifice. Now that Hamas has openly declared the Kuntar trade has given them the determination to keep Gilad Shalit prisoner until hundreds of Palestinian murderers are let loose, I can only say this: How many soldiers died and suffered permanent injuries to apprehend those murderers? What of their sacrifice, and the sacrifice of their families?

And what of the families of the victims? As Ehud Olmert hugged Karnit Goldwasser, weeping with her, he turned his back on 82 year - old Nina Karen, the mother of Danny Haran and grandmother of the two babies Kuntar was physically and morally responsible for murdering. Karnit lost her husband because he was a soldier in the Israeli army. He gave his life to defend us . And Ehud Olmert turned that sacrifice into an empty gesture, a photo-op.

I was in a terror attack. It is known as the Passover Massacre. A terrorist blew himself up in Netanya hotel just as people were sitting down to seder. Most of them were elderly Holocaust survivors and their children and grandchildren. We were lucky. We were upstairs. What we didn't know, is that a second bomber was scheduled to blow himself up upstairs, and would have killed my entire family. He was apprehended by Israeli soldiers at

great personal risk soon after, and now sits in an Israeli prison until another corrupt Israeli politician decides to take the easy way out and let him and hundreds more like him out into the streets to kill again, so that our soldiers will have to risk their lives again.

This is not a mistake worth making. It's a mistake we are risking the lives of our soldiers to prevent. Let us respect that and stop kidding ourselves that we can make something heroic out of something despicably wrong. Let us get rid of the men and women whose brainless approach to leadership has already cost us a price we, and no nation, can afford to pay.

When the expulsion from Gaza was taking place, I tried to tell anyone who would listen: "There is a reason these actions are taking place and it is not because all of a sudden Sharon became a lefty".

Today, I am trying to tell people that Ehud Olmert is not telling the Palestinians "You have won: We will give you everything" because he has "gone mad" or because he is being "naive".

Olmert and Sharon before him, and Rabin before him, are doing exactly what they are told: Creating the conditions for future conflict.

Here is how the game works:

Jews were forced to leave Gaza "for their own good". A low-intensity war was planned (the one taking place right now) between Israel and Hamas. The new plan was to introduce a whole new batch of instability into the area. Just as has been the "program" for the past 80 years in this region.

As a result, the Jews could not be allowed to remain in their homes.

Why not? Because if you want to have a manageable battlefield, you can not have Israeli citizens in the middle of it. Hamas needed space to set up their operations -- training grounds and firing zones. They could not do that in crowded Gaza streets. So Jewish settlements were torn down and Hamas training facilities and rocket launch sites were erected in their place.

Israel could destroy Hamas tomorrow, just as it could have destroyed Hezbullah in less than three days had the army been allowed to. Every Israeli knows this. So how come that did not and does not happen?

It is not because the Israeli national leadership is worried about "world public opinion". The citizens of the U.S. and the rest of the civilized world would not have a problem ending the continued existence of Hamas. Yet Israel does not do this.

Israel does not exterminate Hamas for the same reason America never caught Bin Laden.

The reason why the U.S. invaded Afghanistan in October, 2001, was "because the Taliban did not hand over Bin Laden". But five years later -- the Americans still cannot say for sure whether he is even alive or not. With all the might and power of the U.S. army and armies throughout the Western World, and intelligence agencies throughout the world, this one guy cannot be apprehended.

He is either superhuman, or the Western World is incompetent. Or: The West lets him get away.

Same thing with Israel: Can the I.D.F. not know exactly where the rocket launchers are in Gaza -- and knock them out from the air? Of course they can. So why are Israeli leaders not doing this? Because doing so would dramatically improve Israel's position and strength, and those from abroad who are pulling the strings do not want a strong and committed Jewish State. They thrive on Israel being divided and weak.

It would not be possible for Hamas to exist if the Israeli national leadership did not allow it to exist. Why do they do this? Take your pick: To control the events. To keep the region in a state of permanent conflict. To sell arms. To keep the price of oil high.

The "why" may be less important than the fact -- not appreciated by all -- that this is just the way it is. And always has been. Hamas and Hezbollah and Bin-Laden, by being allowed to survive, serve a common purposes of the elite masters of war: Intimidate, divide and rule. Not just the Middle East. The "democracies" of the West as well.
