Ted Long from Toledo, Ohio

Ted Long would have been 46 today. Some called him Teddy Bear because he was cute and short and had blondish curly hair. He went missing back around 1982 and they never found his body. His mother felt he was murdered and has since died of cancer. She was sure he was dead because, even though he would hitch to Florida or California to visit friends and acquaintances, he would always come back or call on or around Christmas, knowing he would receive some money or gifts. The call never came and all his clothes were still hanging in his closet, so it didn't appear he took off on another trip. Some say he knew too much about some important and rich and closeted homosexuals, someone with a gated residence near Columbus who would have him picked up in a limousine and buy all his clothes...

I don't know what happened to Ted's father and two sisters. We were best friends for awhile and stole away to New York City for a weekend in 1978. Somewhere I have a poem about us looking for a bar there, running in the rain, and seeing the Plain Truth magazine on a magazine rack on the street next to some vendor. Later, as I began to follow my religious beliefs (as taught by Herbert W. Armstrong) and avoided the bars, we basically went our separate ways, but still loved each other as friends. I wonder how many of his other friends or acquaintances remember Ted today or that it was his birthday. I look forward to seeing Ted in the resurrection.

"One of America's Great Newspapers" on Obama's Birth Certificate?

Has "One of America's Great Newspapers" (as the Toledo Blade describes itself) published even one letter asking the legitimate Constitutional question: "Where's the Birth Certificate?" Obama has kept America in the dark about it and fails to open up with the American people and be transparent with his records. It appears too many in the media aid and abet such mass deception. Does this also describe The Blade?

T-Town Tax Day Tea Party at International Park

"When the representative body have lost the confidence of their constituents, when they have notoriously made sale of their most valuable rights, when they have assumed to themselves powers which the people never put into their hands, then indeed their continuing in office becomes dangerous."
- Thomas Jefferson

I've just returned from the Tea Party at International Park, Toledo, Ohio and took a few pictures, even though it was difficult with the drizzle. When one fellow, dressed in a nice suit, was walking toward me when I was aiming to take a picture, I joked and said, "Smile!" And he questioned, half-jokingly, "Are you with DHS?" I said, "No, David Ben-Ariel."

Having been in politico-religious demonstrations in Israel, aware of the Israeli government's tactics, like a bunch of Bolsheviks, it's sad that Americans now need to be concerned of leftist intimidation against our freedoms of speech and religion as we've become a police state and it's only going to get worse if folks don't act now.

Beyond Conspiracy: Police State America

"Shall I tell you what the real evil is? To cringe to the things that are called evils, to surrender to them our freedom, in defiance of which we ought to face any suffering."
-- Lucius Annaeus Seneca, c. 4 BC - 65 AD

The few photos I took testify that a growing number of Americans are teed-off, as the various signs of the times reveal. If I had made it a sign, it would have been:

Who cares about your dog? Show us YOUR papers!

Emperor Obama has got to go! Let justice be served and our Republic restored and our Constitution upheld, so help us God.

I was only there for about a half an hour, 12 - 12:30, and folks were still pouring in as I left, the parking lot packed.

The flag the fellow is holding in the wind reads, "Don't Tread On Me!"

I've never lived in Bowling Green

Re: Will Germany Launch a Nuclear Attack on America?
I've never lived in Bowling Green
Submitted by David Ben-Ariel on Sun, 2008-12-21 15:01.

It's amazing how some who set themselves up as "experts on David Ben-Ariel" love to indulge in disinformation. Granted, a few are just careless and confused about their "facts" but others are clearly obsessed (and possibly dangerous) like this disturbed person who has started an internet campaign against me: Steps to Ban "David Ben Ariel"

I was born in Bowling Green, Ohio, and donated a copy of Beyond Babylon to the Bowling Green library, but I have never lived there. BG, to their credit, does look like a rather nice place to live.

My name was David Hoover, but I legally changed it to David Ben-Ariel in 1989, as I testify in God-given Names and From Toledo to Jerusalem.

Facts are racist? I'm a realist. That's why I wrote, in Black Mark on Toledo that you referenced, "Toledo blacks gave Bill White's best sermon." That's the plain truth. Why deny it? Afraid of being called "racist"? (And where in the world did you get any mention of "racial superiority" in that article? You didn't, as any objective reader could easily conclude).

At least you're correct that I was affiliated with the Philadelphia Church of God, which is why I was on both nights of the FOX 25 Special Report in Oklahoma City about the PCG, leading to Gerald Flurry's outrageous attacks against me in full page newspaper ads, misleading folks to believe that I'm a terrorist, misrepresenting the Temple Mount Faithful as a terrorist organization, to deflect criticism of him as a false prophet - even though this star witness (his words) provided him with overwhelming evidence to the contrary, including a State Department letter.

East Side Toledo Bike Path is "Sweet"

This afternoon my neighbor's sons and I rode our bikes on the bike path starting behind McDonald's near International Park, going down under the Anthony Wayne Trail Bridge (agreeing we would walk across it soon, even though it's "really high" and I assured them they couldn't fall off) to the South entrance of International Park passing several women with children and strollers and a few adults on bikes, round to near the Boyer ship (where they wanted to fish a dead fish out of the water and I said no), continued along the walkway past the restaurants at The Docks, past the international flags we identified as we rode by them (me telling them which countries I had been to) and then up under the gazebo there in the park where some teenagers were talking, one telling the other to watch his language in front of the kids, apologizing to me, "Sir" (I must look my 47 years), as the other told him not to tell him what to do - that he was older than him, and then we went to some rocks and sand on the Maumee River under the Cherry Street Bridge and then leaving we rode by those same teens walking on the sidewalk and the one who earlier had cussed apologized to me as we rode by, shocking me, and I said it was ok.
When I asked the boys what they would say about the bike trail, the youngest said he liked that it was "flat" and they both said it was "sweet."

Living throughout Eretz Israel

You could say I have a God-given love for the Jews and the nation of Israel (Isaiah 62:6-7). That sacred bond has been strengthened over the years by the fact that I've been blessed to have lived all over Israel, getting to know its land and people quite well. Apart from 5 months at Ramat Yohanan, I've also stayed at Sdot Yam on the Mediterranean, next to Caesarea, the site of my first ulpan (intensive Hebrew course), and where Israel's heroine, Hannah Senesh, was from; Regavim, near Zichron Yaakov, where I continued my Hebrew lessons amid its rolling green hills; Reshafim, near Bet She'an, with Mt. Gilboa practically in our backyard, and Jordan's mountains in lovely view out front; Adamit, on Lebanon's border, high up on a mountain, from where on clear days you can see all the way to Haifa's Mt. Carmel; Shoval, a rose in the Negev desert, just north of Be'er Sheva; Dan, way up in the northernmost part of Israel, in between Syria and Lebanon, next to the majestic snow-covered Mt. Hermon, where I was living when "Operation Desert Storm" blew in; and Ha'On, with its campground and ostrich farm on the eastern shores of the Sea of Galilee, across from Tiberias; and last but not least, my beloved Jerusalem, next to my favorite spot on earth: the Temple Mount.

Urban League to Demand Toledo Hire Black Only?

Excerpt [with my comments] from:

13abc.com: City not ready to see Bell go

Johnny Mickler is president of the Urban League [a racist organization like the NAACP], which tries to build character and self-esteem in minority kids. [Isn't that the responsibility of the parents?].

With Chief Bell leaving [who appears to have been very qualified], Doctor Eugene Sanders [who couldn't even speak proper English!] now running Cleveland schools, and with Jack Ford no longer Mayor of Toledo [thank God!], Mickler believes African Americans in Toledo need to see a leader from their community in a high position in city government.[Fine. Let them vote like responsible people do - not just demand a position for one of their own. Perhaps European Americans or British Americans or Asian Americans will want the chance to vote one from their own "community" into office].

Right now, it doesn't appear there will be a campaign to demand Chief Bell be replaced with another African American. [Isn't that a thinly veiled threat? Demand? And if such ridiculous demands aren't met, what? Another riot? That ought to build character and self-esteem in impressionable young minds. Can't get what you want? Demand it! If that doesn't work, take it to the streets and break the law]. Obviously the hope is qualified blacks will be interviewed for the job, and a capable African American will succeed Bell as both Fire Chief and as a symbol of progress and respect. [Why the preoccupation with race? Why not be color blind and simply say may the best man win? And if a Black man does win, let's hope he's truly qualified and not just an "affirmative action" hire.].

Toledo Mayor Carty Finkbeiner exposes arrogant jail officials

Dear Mayor Finkbeiner,

As for your unfortunate experience with arrogant officials at the Ottawa jail, let it be known that such is too often standard treatment for those who are visiting family and/or friends who are incarcerated regardless of whether it's in Ottawa or elsewhere as many, many folks would share with you if asked to write or call you about their experiences.

What you have done, thankfully (leave it to Carty), is gotten righteously indignant (with cause) and have publicized this plight too many suffer who have been treated like criminals rather than taxpaying visitors. You have seen how unjust it is and demand accounting, a change in the deplorable status quo, and this is good and right.

You're a mayor. Perhaps you can send out a memo to America's mayors to encourage them to remind their jail/prison officials that they are public servants - not lords - and to act like it, sensitive to family and friends who only hope to visit a loved one without incident or humiliation.

Sincerely,
David Ben-Ariel
