E.U. going on the offensive?

The Economist asks in Defensive measures:
"Should the European Union have a defence budget?"

The European Union will swing from one extreme to the other. Watch for the E.U. to "surprise" everybody by embracing the idea of a strictly European defence budget next month and actually getting their military act together to modernize their forces and scrap NATO at blitzkrieg speed, as Germany's grand design demands and their French poodles are promoting. The United States will have helped to create the Frankstein Monster that will destroy us.

What we are witnessing is the final revival of the unholy Roman Empire of the German Nation, a greater collaboration between Germany and the Vatican and their puppet states and politicians. The end result of such offensive measures will find the United States outside looking in, and the E.U. club increasingly hostile, arrogant and exclusivist. America will have served its purpose and the United States of Europe will chart its own course, independent, and destined to become aggressive, coveting the position of the "leader of the free world."
