No, this is not a history article of how the Nazis came to power in 1933. For those who don't know German, the title means "Yes ! Yes ! Jews Out!!"

More Jews were thrown out of their homes last week in AMONA, ISRAEL.

As with the Jews made homeless in GUSH KATIF last summer, and in HEBRON last week, the people who did the expelling were the Israeli government. The State of ISRAEL has been viewed by many Jews as "the first flowering of our redemption". This State expelled Jews from their homes in ISRAEL.

There were no security issues involved. What issues were? It was really one issue. Riding into power.

It takes just a bit of background to explain.

A radio talk show host, "Tommy" Lapid, a Holocaust survivor, decided to jump from talk radio to national politics. The party he founded was called Shinui (Change). In a few words, Lapid was a loudmouth who used the dislike of Haredi Jews -- the ones with the long black coats, peyess (side curls), who have large families and who often expected their wives to work while they studied Talmud all day -- that group of Jews, to get votes.

The Shinui party was the apotheosis of the loud, money making Ashkenazi Israeli who has only contempt for Sephardi and Mizrahi Jews who make up much of the lower class here, and utter hatred for Haredim. Another way to look at it is rich white people with contempt for dark skinned people and an utter hatred for untouchables.

These people hate Judaism, but they love to be Israelis. In EUROPE, the term for them would be anti-clerical. But hating Judaism in a state that is a refuge for those of us in the world who are Jews is a bit odd. In addition, the hatred is as virulent as that of the Nazis. And the party was led by a survivor of Nazi death camps.

In short, the big Change the Change Party wanted was to change this from a Jewish state to a non-Jewish Israeli state. And the platform got votes. They also ran as the Mr. Clean party, another tactic from the Nazi and Fascist playbook. No scandal for these boys. Nosirree Bob! The Shinui party represented the responsible Israelis who were honest and above board in all things -- especially in their hatred for Judaism.

For reasons that are not clear, the primacy elections in the Shinui party did not produce the results that pleased Mr. Lapid. So, in the words of Jonathan Rosenblum a Haredi columnist here, "he picked up his bat and ball and went home". And the Shinui party collapsed. In recent polls, it has been clear that it would get no seats in the Knesset in the elections scheduled for March 28. Where did its voters go? Why, they went forward to Kadima, that party of crooks who deserve most either to be in jail or executed. Its ostensible leader is Ariel Sharon, presently indisposed.

The Kadima party has one partner in its "coalition" of temporary hacks warming seats in the cabinet and the Knesset committee chairs -- the remnant of United Torah Judaism -- Haredim! So the Kadima party cannot very well beat up on the people its only partner in government represents. But since they now have nasty people who hate Judaism and who, like Lapid, are always spoiling for a fight, the leading light of this pack of busted light bulbs, the Acting Crime -- oops! Prime Minister, Ehud Olmert, decided to pick a fight with the other group of unpopular people in this country -- those nasty SETTLERS. According to a lot of Israelis, the settlers, the people who live in JUDEA and SAMARIA and who used to live in GUSH KATIF, are the pampered, undertaxed spoilsports who try to manipulate Israeli politics for their own gain. And guess what?! Lots of them are religious!

That's what the confrontation in HEBRON was all about. That is what the expulsion of Jews from AMONA was all about. Ehud Olmert wanted to prove that he could use the police and the army to beat up religious Jews and get votes. When you have a bunch of anti-clerical fascists approving you in the polls it pays to put on the jackboots and extend the right hand and shout "victory and salvation!" -- "sieg und heil!"

That is the Olmert formula for riding into power as prime minister. The problem is that it is a ride on the wild side. According to Knesset member Aryeh Eldad of the National Union Party who had his hand fractured by police during the demonstrations in AMONA, the government is looking to escalate the level of confrontations to shooting incidents, apparently hoping that blood will grease the way to a near majority in the Knesset.

But Eldad warns that the government could fall. The article did not elaborate, but I can imagine he means civil war might break out. Even in Ha'aretz this possibility was recognized. "Bradley Burston's Election Blog" had a contemptuous article criticizing those whose homes are systematically being destroyed in this ploy for votes.

Acting Prime Minister Olmert said that on Wednesday night "a line was crossed in AMONA and this cannot be accepted". This was his comment on the not very non-violent demonstrations that resulted in 250 injuries. What Olmert does not appear to comprehend is that the day an Israeli murders a Jew in a fracas over expelling Jews from their homes, the red line that loses Olmert his sovereign authority over this country will have been crossed -- and there will be no turning back.

And the Bradley Burstons of Israel -- and there are all too many of them -- will see what civil war looks like with their own eyes.

I can hear Hitler laughing all the way from Hell.

Shabbat Shalom from Liberated Yerushaliyim,
